Indiana Fever Fans TURN On Stephanie White After Kelsey Mitchell Comments About Caitlin Clark

I keep telling y’all this lady is not to be trusted. Do not fall for it. Listen, I know you like me are super excited to watch Caitlyn Clark do her thing this season, but we still have a major major obstacle in front of us and that’s the head coach Stephanie White. Make no mistake about it.

We already know what Amber Cox said as far as Kelsey Mitchell being the main priority. And she went beyond because people would always just say, “Oh, no, they meant with free agency.” Then she elaborated and said how Kelsey Mitchell is the priority long term and she wants to keep her in Indiana Fever forever.

We heard that from GM Amber Cox. Now we’re about to hear the same stuff from head coach Stephanie White. They never looked about Caitlyn Clark this way. But when it comes to Kelsey Mitchell, she is clearly the darling of their eyes. She is clearly the one they want to build this franchise around and they show it outwardly with their words at every chance.

Stephanie White, we can’t trust you. What you just said in front of these cameras again is raising my antennas. It’s raising my antennas big time. Why do we keep talking about Kelsey Mitchell’s loyalty like she was out here playing for free for the Indiana Fever? What did she turn down, a supermax? Prior to Caitlyn Clark, wasn’t nobody checking for her or the Fever. That don’t mean she couldn’t hoop. She’d been able to hoop, but that don’t mean that people was checking for her either.

Was she getting all these max offers from all these other teams and she just decided to take less to stay with Indiana all this time prior to Caitlyn Clark? No, man. No. No. She stayed with Indiana. She was a featured person in the offense. She just couldn’t turn it around. When Aaliyah Boston first got there, she couldn’t turn it around with Aaliyah Boston.

Caitlyn Clark got there and everything turned around. Why do we keep talking about Kelsey Mitchell like she did some sort of charity by staying with the Indiana Fever? No, the girl was getting paid. What are we talking about, man? I’m tired of hearing about this whole loyalty thing. I’ve had enough of it.

Let’s take a listen to what Stephanie White had to say. Clearly, clearly she values Kelsey Mitchell much more than Caitlyn Clark. It just is what it is.

We saw also what Kelsey needs too is a team where you all roll.
I mean, she’s huge. I don’t think there’s a faster player in the league with the ball than Kelsey Mitchell. I don’t think there’s a scarier player in the league to guard one-on-one than Kelsey Mitchell.

I don’t think there’s a faster player. I don’t think there’s a scarier person to guard than Kelsey Mitchell. When have you ever heard her talk about Caitlyn Clark like this? Take your time. I’ll wait. We got all night. It ain’t happen. It ain’t happen.

When it comes to Kelsey Mitchell, she’s all in on Kelsey. All in. When it comes to Caitlyn Clark, there’s a level of apprehensiveness that I just don’t like. There’s a level of dismissiveness that I just don’t like. And she wants it to be about her and Kelsey Mitchell. I don’t like it.

And for us, putting her in position to do what she does best so that she doesn’t have to think about it, she can just do it was a priority. And Kelsey and Aaliyah really put us on there.

Putting Kelsey in position to do what she does is a priority. When has putting Caitlyn in position to do what she does become a priority? Caitlyn Clark is the best point guard in the world, the best transition player in the world.

Meanwhile, you’ve been trying to mitigate her to play in a halfcourt game. How is that putting Caitlyn Clark in the best position to do what she does? You had Natasha Howard and Aaliyah Boston. You wanted a hub. You wanted her playing off ball. How is that putting her in the position to be the best Caitlyn Clark? You don’t think about that when it comes to Caitlyn Clark, but you think about that when it comes to Kelsey Mitchell.

Very, very interesting. Stephanie White, very, very interesting. I find it really odd that you want to find a way to put everybody else, especially Kelsey Mitchell, in a position to be at her best. And putting her in position is the priority. So putting Caitlyn in position isn’t a priority. Playing that fast tempo, you call it hero ball.

So, her style of play is not a priority. Putting her in a corner and having her off ball, that’s what you’d rather do. Even though that does not make her a priority, that does not best suit her, but okay, let’s keep listening to you dig a hole for yourself.

There’s a scarier player in the league to guard one-on-one than Kelsey Mitchell. And for us, putting her in position to do what she does best so that she doesn’t have to think about it, she can just do it was a priority. And Kelsey and Aaliyah really put us on their shoulders, and they elevated us to that next level. And Kelsey is a player that you just want her to reach the pinnacle. She has been through the highs and the lows of this franchise. She has loved this game and treated this—

Here we go with the highs and the lows talk. Here we go with the highs and the lows, the loyalty talk. No, there was no highs and lows. It was all lows until Caitlyn Clark got there. What are we talking about? The highs and the lows.

She never tasted a lick of success until Caitlyn Clark showed up, bro. Let’s just keep it real in terms of the WNBA. Is that me saying Kelsey Mitchell can’t hoop? Absolutely not. She been a bucket. She was a bucket in college. She’s a bucket in the WNBA. But you keep talking about these highs and lows.

No, it was a career low until number 22 from Iowa showed up. We keep talking about the highs and the lows and the loyalty. That’s why we wanted to reach the pinnacle. What are y’all talking about, man? What are y’all talking about? I’m so tired of it.

Kelsey is a player that you want her to reach the pinnacle. She has been through the highs and the lows of this franchise. She has loved this game and treated this game with so much respect. I remember when she was a freshman in college and I was calling her games just watching the way that she worked in pregame and she loves basketball and she’s a pro’s pro. And so, we want to get one for her. There’s no doubt about it. She deserves this opportunity. She deserves this moment, her contract, everything that she’s getting. And I’m thankful she’s on—

She deserves her contract. Cool. Cool. She took the whole 1.4 million. There’s a bunch of people that took a little bit less. Cool. Now, Aaliyah Boston got paid.

Now, when Caitlyn Clark is up, I don’t want nobody looking to Caitlyn Clark to take less money. Kelsey Mitchell got her full 1.4. Aaliyah Boston making six million over what? Caitlyn Clark is the reason everybody’s getting paid. So, I hope you say Caitlyn Clark deserves the money, her full supermax contract, too.

Don’t come to Caitlyn Clark trying to get her to take shorts, but you believe Kelsey Mitchell deserves her full. Don’t do that now.

Obviously, CBA was the main—

I just don’t, listen man, when it comes to this, they’ve made it obviously clear. Amber Cox and Stephanie White, they’ve made it clear. They want to build around Kelsey Mitchell. It’s very very clear they went and drafted another point guard that they feel could probably play next to Kelsey Mitchell better than Caitlyn Clark can. That’s probably why they went and got Raven Johnson.

As I said, I’m going to root for Raven as long as she’s on the team with Caitlyn and playing her role. The second she gets out of line, we are on it. But I think it’s beyond Raven and it shouldn’t be taken out on her. This is the front office and this is the head coach who are putting it right there in our faces.

They want to build the team around Kelsey Mitchell, guys. It’s right there in our face. Get down in the comments. Let me know what you think.
