This is the kind of news I needed. Everybody else is making moves. So why should the Indiana Fever be sitting on their hands when they blew the last offseason? This is some good news. This is my top prospect. My number one target in free agency is very interested and wants to join Caitlin Clark.

She’ll be joining Alicia Gray, Rhyne Howard, Brionna Jones. They got better. The Indiana Fever need to figure out who we are going to have as our power forward to combat that because that team just got better. We cannot afford to play games and do Stephanie White and friends all over again with Natasha Howard. Absolutely not. We’re not playing that game. Not entertaining it. It’s nonsense. We’re not doing that. Natasha Howard can go. Brianna Turner can go. Sydney Colson can go. All of her friends can go respectfully.
I put this video up at the very beginning of last offseason when the season ended. I said, “You go and get this girl to play the four.” And she is showing serious interest in joining the Indiana Fever. That is Azurá Stevens. She took to social media and posted, “Come on girl. We want you in Indiana.” You talk about the perfect big for a Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston situation.
This player can step out and shoot threes like it’s nothing. 6’6, long arms, rebound, play defense, shoot the three-point shot, attack closeouts, pump fake, put it on the ground, midrange pull-up. She can do it all offensively and she doesn’t need to be the primary option. She doesn’t need to be the number two option. She doesn’t even need to be the number three option. She was none of those things with the Los Angeles Sparks.
For the people that think the Sparks will probably keep her, she’s not going back to LA. They’re keeping Cameron Brink. You drafted Cameron Brink number two overall. You’re not bringing her off the bench. They’re going to be rolling with Rickea Jackson, Kelsey Plum, Cameron Brink, and Dearica Hamby. That leaves Azurá as the odd one out.
There is a chance other teams will be interested. Expansion teams could look at her. Maybe Toronto will try to grab her through free agency. Dallas will definitely take a long look at her and try to bring her in. But the best opportunity for Azurá Stevens to play high-level basketball is Indiana.

It says Stevens made it through the expansion draft without hearing her name called and could quickly find herself at the center of one of the few bidding wars in free agency.
The 30-year-old played the best basketball of her career in 2025, averaging 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block per game. She also improved as a three-point shooter, knocking down 38% of her shots. Nearly 40% from three as a stretch four.
That is the type of four we need. We don’t need a Natasha Howard. She clogs up the paint. We need a four like Azurá Stevens that can space the floor.
Indiana Fever need to offer a competitive amount. That’s the whole thing with Kelsey Mitchell. She will take up so much money. Will you be able to bring back Sophie and Lexie? Will you be able to do all of that? I don’t know. But you need to make a legitimate competitive offer for Azurá Stevens.
At 6’6, a forward who can offer rim protection, switch onto perimeter players, crash the boards, and space the floor could be a difference maker for several teams, including Indiana.
Azurá Stevens is going to have a very hot market. There will be multiple teams interested in bringing her on board. You put in a quality offer. You don’t send a weak offer. You send a strong one because she can get hot, defend, rebound, and shoot without being ball dominant.
You see what’s happening. The whole world will be watching. You’re entering your prime at 30. You want the spotlight, or do you want to go somewhere with less exposure? You could play in sold-out arenas every game with Caitlin Clark.
