Fever Just NAILED This Signing… Caitlin Clark x Billings Is SCARY

It never fails. The little bit of time that I am away from my devices, big news seems to break.

Now, for those of you that saw the Kelsey Mitchell video, I did a breakdown of what I thought or wanted if free agency went really well, the Fever roster to look like. And it wasn’t a wish list in the way of, you know, hey, I’m just gonna pick, I’m gonna make an all WNBA team. It was these are really good players that fit in well with the Fever that are reasonably possible to get.

Mo’Nique Billings I actually put as an—well, I didn’t put her in the 12 and I actually explained on the video that hey, you know what? I’d really like Monique Billings to be in this. However, I think it’s a little less possible that we get her than it is some of these other players.

And guess what, folks? Thankfully, I was a little bit wrong. I wasn’t wrong in wanting to get Mo’nique Billings, but I was a little wrong in thinking it was less possible because we went and got Monique Billings.

Now, who is Mo’Nique for those of you that do not know? She was in camp. She played for USA Lyn March. She played on that Team USA with Caitlyn Clark. I talked about it then with some videos. Other people talked about it as well. We noticed it. They played well together. They had chemistry. They seemed to like each other, which of course unfortunately in the WNBA is one of the bigger stories when we’re talking about bringing someone in to the Indiana Fever to play with Caitlyn Clark.

As wild and stupid as that may sound.

Shout out to the 19. I’m going to take a breath.

I’ve inched my way back from the edge of the ledge a little bit. Having a little bit of a better April than we had any time since October. So, I thank all of you for that.

This is Monique Billings, by the way. I’ve been following her since that camp in Team USA. I enjoy the way she played. I like how she played with Caitlyn Clark.

As you can see, Fever fans, she seems excited. Fever fans excited watching you with Team USA. My first thought was how good you would be on the Fever. Crazy to see it happening. Let’s go, Mo. Welcome to the Fever. Let’s go get this chip.

By the way, out the window, that is a van backing up. I hate those stupid beeps.

Anyway, that was not a smoke alarm.

Let’s go. Became a fan at FIA. Saw that IQ hustle and system piece player. Was just hoping then. Can’t wait to hear it officially. I don’t know that there’s been an official announcement, but this is basically everywhere.

Welcome. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team. LFG Mo, I’m so excited about the upcoming WNBA season. See you soon. Now, which fellow Bruin do you want to draft? Also, Mo, I could not be more excited. Welcome to the Fever. Let’s go, Mo. Welcome to the best league in the W. She clowning. Love the energy, Mo. Hello, Fever. Last one we read, girl.

Bring it. You fit perfect with this team. This year is going to be one wild ride with CC-22 in the driver’s seat. Away we go.

Now, one of the reasons I wanted to put all that out there is because despite all the lies, despite all the nonsense, despite all the attacks, the Indiana Fever Caitlyn Clark fan base truly embraces players who want to come to Indy and play with Caitlyn Clark. It’s that simple.

Despite what the haters say, despite the slows, despite the hate, despite the lies and smears, it is a fantastic fan base to play for if you simply embrace it as an opportunity instead of always hating on that untanned little white girl who is better and more popular than everyone in the league. It ain’t complicated.

It’s not rocket science. It’s not even two plus two because I know a lot of you like to think that that can actually be five.

I am excited. Where I was leading—I got off track there for a second.

Do y’all remember this when Angel Reese went to Atlanta? There were people excited, but it was a lot of supposed Sky fans saying “F the Sky.” And then you got into the whole toxicity with the Atlanta fans and Angel Reese and teammates and all that. It was not like this. It was not all love.

Now, if any of these get blocked, I apologize. They are short because FIA is very much a pain in the butt with allowing you to use any of their clips as short as they may be. But we’ll just get a little taste.

We got a little taste from Team USA. Boom. Yeah, that’s right. Go to the basket. Go strong with the left hand. Great finish by Mo’Nique.

We all know how good that looks. And by the way, I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how much time it takes to get used to Caitlyn Clark and talking about some of the free agents that I thought of bringing in, because of her passing and all of that.

I said no. If you’re a good basketball player with a high basketball IQ, it takes you a practice, maybe two, to be able to get a read on Caitlyn Clark and understand that she can throw you anything, anytime, anywhere. You just have to catch it.

Mo’Nique showed that. Mo’Nique showed that playing with Caitlyn Clark.

There we go. Simple lob in, but she posted up, creates the space. The defender’s late. That’s what happens when you play Caitlyn Clark tempo. Look at the defender to the left, just kind of lazily getting in there.

But this is Caitlyn Clark. And when you got someone who understands as a teammate who Caitlyn Clark is, you better be a lot better than that defensively.

A couple more for you.

Now, this is actually Mo in a game. Mo’s on defense. She says she’s going to come off her player and says, “Nope. Get that out of here.” Recognizes that shot, steps up. Yeah. No, you can’t do that in my town. This is my house.

Mo says that you didn’t see at all.

This is a great example, Stephanie White, of the read and react offense with Caitlyn Clark. When you have teammates that buy in, when you have players with high basketball IQs like Mo Billings, you get a lot of this.

One thing I also noticed with Team USA is Mo Billings is willing to set an actual pick. So, we’re going to get that right. She’s going to come out, she’s going to set the pick.

The initial pick and roll to Mo does not work. Caitlyn goes left. There’s Mo. Caitlyn doesn’t like it. She doesn’t like it there.

Here’s the read and react. Caitlyn crossover goes back to her right. Mo drifts away to the left and we’ve got ourselves a pass and a bucket.

You see how that kind of offense works. That is all you need to do. Stephanie White coming out, set the pick. Doesn’t work initially. Caitlyn goes back to the right. Mo drifts to the left. Read and react. Both players reading and reacting.

What is going on? It ain’t complicated.

I want to finish off with this because this is really kind of wild.

In case you all were wondering if this was ever going to die down, black players willingly going to play with a Fever is a choice. Yes. Yes, it is. They have that. It’s called freedom.

Kelsey Mitchell, Monique Billings, Natasha Howard, and Ty Harris, if rumors are true, will definitely be on the do not mess with list.

So much hate. Everyone who goes there outside of Sims and Ary change.

And I don’t want to hear her complain about anything. We’ve seen what happens to black women just playing in that arena. We’ve seen what happens to black women when they don’t play well. We’ve seen how black women get treated in that locker room. Like, why would you sign up for that willingly?

What are you talking about? Seriously, you are repeating nonsense.

What happens to black women playing in that arena? Please explain, because I haven’t seen anything happen to them.

I’ve seen some black women lie—Angel Reese, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner. I’ve seen them lie. I’ve never seen anything actually happen to them.

What happens when they don’t play well? They get criticized just like the white women, because that’s called sports. When players who have expectations and are getting paid don’t play well and don’t live up to those expectations, they get criticized by fans.

What are you talking about? How have you seen how they get treated in the locker room? Are you in the locker room? Can you be specific? Because all you’re doing here is emoting and smearing. You have nothing to back any of this up. Nothing at all.

You have no facts. You have no proof. You just have your brainwashed little pea brain spouting the crap that you’ve been fed.

It is annoying. It is disgusting. And I’m sick and tired of it.

Anyway, huge signing. I’m thrilled that Monique Billings is here. I’m really, really happy for this signing.

Let’s go, Fever. Please keep this type of stuff up. I’m hoping this is a replacement for Natasha Howard, but it might mean something for Sophie Cunningham too. We haven’t heard about her. We haven’t heard about Lexi.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts. Go have the day you deserve. I will talk to you later.
