Kennedy Carter has returned to the WNBA by way of the Las Vegas Aces. Becky Hammon, A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, etc., etc., etc. have brought Kennedy Carter into the fold. Kennedy Hollywood Carter, as some would call her.
Now, I’ve been saying this for a while and I know many others have said it as well all last season is that in spite of the flagrant activity Kennedy Carter bestowed upon Caitlin Clark in 2024 by way of the Chicago Sky, Kennedy Carter is hands down one of the best guards in the W or formerly in the W. And if she was going to make a redemption tour, I would say that it would be best for her to come back in at a later date under someone else’s guidance.
And that someone else happens to be the team that is stacking the deck like nobody’s business, the Las Vegas Aces. Some of you may disagree with me, but like I said, other than the maneuver that she pulled on Caitlin Clark with the hip check in 2024, if the Fever made an announcement that they were bringing Kennedy Carter over to the Indiana Fever, I would accept her with open arms because she is hands down one of the best guards in the W.
Her presence was missed. Her actions were not. Ball handling skills unlike no other in the W. Like I said, she is a straight-up hooper. And now the Las Vegas Aces have her as if they didn’t have a squad already. I think the Fever, I don’t know if Raven Johnson’s going to get her hands wet, get her feet wet, put her on Kennedy Carter.
Break her in that way. You say you’re this ultra defensive player guard Kennedy Carter. She’s coming off the bench, you’re coming off the bench. Kennedy’s coming in under a minimum because of, like I said, she’s been out for a while. Nobody really wants to gamble on her.
It’s pretty much she’s doing a redemption tour. And this is the best time for any team to grab her because they can get her on the cheap. Put Raven Johnson on Kennedy Carter. I said it. Put Raven Johnson on Kennedy Carter. If you’re going to slow Kennedy Carter down, that’s your best opportunity to do it through the Indiana Fever.
Put Raven Johnson on Kennedy Carter. I can’t say it enough. I’ll repeat it as many times over. That’s what they need to do. And I wish in an alternate universe on Earth X Earth 66616 Kennedy Carter would be in a Fever jersey. Her and Caitlin Clark would shake hands, make amends and do some serious damage.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda. That’s what could have happened. And it did not. But it’s a trial balloon. She’s not officially been signed. It’s a trial balloon. And maybe it’ll work out, maybe it won’t work out. Maybe she’ll get cut in training camp.
Maybe somebody else will pick her up. But if she gets cut, then I’m pretty sure that’s going to make this, if the stock is already low, that’s going to make it a penny stock at that point because you couldn’t make it happen over in Las Vegas. Becky Hammon couldn’t straighten you out because everybody knows she can hoop.
So it’s not like that’s not going to be the factor. What’s going to be the determinant factor is whether she would gel and play nice with the ladies. So yeah, kudos to her. I’m all about giving people second chances, sometimes third chances. So hopefully this works out for her.
No hate, no shade. We’re just going to brush off the 2024 mishap with CC and we’re just going to move on from that. Not going to spend my time hating on things of the past. So yeah, Kennedy Carter’s back in the WNBA.
The Indiana Fever has signed Shekinah Walker-Kimbrough. I think that’s how you say it. Shekinah Walker-Kimbrough, formerly from the Atlanta Dream. When we were playing the Dream, I had my eye on Walker-Kimbrough.
She can shoot the three. Her defensive prowess is above average. I can’t say I hate this pick. I don’t know if this is a trial balloon, if this is just a training camp contract or what have you. We’ll probably, once the details of that come to light, look into that and discuss that later in another video.
But Shekinah Walker-Kimbrough, so now as of right now our roster of 12, we have our starting five which is Caitlin, Aliyah, Kelsey, Lexie, Sophie, Mobley’s, Ty Harris, Raven Johnson, Damiris Dantas, Shekinah Walker-Kimbrough, and we have Justise Ezsary. I lost count. Is that 10 or 11?
So yeah, free agency’s not over. So maybe some people will come in on a developmental contract and we’ll see how that pans out. But as of right now, that’s what we got. So Kennedy Carter is the news of the day. Kennedy Carter, Kennedy Carter, Kennedy Carter.
It’s been a year and some change. She’s been playing over in Mexico stacking up the pesos over there. And now she is tentatively currently with the Las Vegas Aces. So they have A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, Dana Evans, Alyssa Smith and they’re basically brought back their entire squad.
They’re running it back. And now they’re trying to fill out the bench and make their depth a little bit deeper. What is the Indiana Fever going to do to lengthen our depth, make our depth a bit deeper so we can go toe-to-toe with everyone, giving our starters sufficient breaks and not letting individuals come off the bench allowing the opposing team go on indefinite runs late in the third, early in the fourth, going late into the fourth quarter.
